Do you ever “wonder” about things? I always do and I always begin a question with “I wonder...?” My husband gets tired of hearing me say “I wonder” and he suggested I make a piece all about “wonder.” So here it is!
With a reclaimed canvas as its base, it is painted in shades of aqua blue and meadow green and has surprising details in every corner. The centerpiece is a large heart made from recycled cardboard and covered in paper collage created from old magazines and catalogs. This heart is full of wonder and is embellished with a variety of intriguing found objects such as wire, washers, metal, nails and broken coat hanger pieces. In each corner of the piece you will find a small assemblage of Found Objects that have been transformed into unique shapes of question marks. Their rusted patinas are a textured contrast to the aqua blue and green colors. It’s an exciting relationship between industry and art. The piece is framed in a variety of broken twigs in different shapes and sizes and stained white. There are so many delightful details to discover and you will be left “wondering” if you have found them all.
Dimensions: 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” x 2”. Can be wall hung or stands alone.
