As an artist who lives on the Coast, the Beach is always calling to me. That is the inspiration behind this colorful piece. Created from a salvaged scrap of wood found on the Beach, this mixed media composition began with a coastal vibe to it. Details include Palmetto Trees created from metal scraps, old cans and wire. Beach umbrellas are made from bottle caps and metal. Even the small beach chairs are made from repurposed materials: pull tabs. Make sure and notice the small Playmate cooler and the two sand buckets. They give the children playing at the water’s edge an extra bit of whimsy.
This piece can be enjoyed inside or out (as long as it’s located in a covered area).
