The inspiration for this piece is found in the tiny, mountain churches I see on my frequent visits to the North Carolina mountains. Although rustic in appearance, there is an abundance of charm and character in these humble, yet sacred places.
Using salvaged wood as a base, I hope to capture the heavenly qualities of small, stone chapels and churches. Other materials used include metal, hardware scraps, cardboard, wire, twigs, tissue paper, nails, washers and crushed rocks.
Can stand alone or be wall hung.
Dimensions: 14 1/2” x 19” x 3”
