St Johns AME

The beautiful, simple country churches on Johns Island, outside of Charleston, South Carolina fueled my imagination for this piece. Although humble in appearance, these small churches posses a rustic, yet spiritual charm that warms the heart. In an effort to pay tribute and give thanks for these country churches, I have created several pieces that reflect the joy and happiness she experiences when I visit these holy places. 

This one of a kind piece is created from salvaged wood, and has been adorned with a variety of Found Objects like metal, wire, screws, bolts, bottle caps, nails and rocks. Can be hung or placed upright on a table or shelf.
