I am someone who pays great attention to details. I love bringing out the raw beauty in items such as salvaged wood, wire, metal, nails, washers and pull tabs. Often these items are invisible to others. My passion is to see these materials in a way no one else does and to bring out the very best in them. Cheers to the abandoned and forgotten things that make this piece so special. They are a reminder of Hope and that beauty can be found in everything.
“Patchwork Face” or “Patches” has the feel of Outsider Art and American Folk Art. I hope it makes you smile. I had so much fun creating it and using bright, bold, happy colors to highlight the repurposed items used.
