Hand painted on canvas and framed in salvaged wood, this mixed media piece uses only two colors; black and white. Using only two colors is a huge challenge for me because I love bold, bright colors. Instead of adding in more colors, I chose to add layers of Found Objects throughout the piece instead. Items such as keys, nails, wire, metal scraps, springs and washers have been used to add an unexpected raw element of detail. Details can also be found in the various designs painted in black and white. Framed in salvaged wood pieces that has been painted with black and white zebra stripes.
Dimensions: 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" X 1" Can stand alone or be hung. May be placed outdoors if in a covered area.
