Would you ever believe bottle caps, cardboard, wire, washers and old cans could be transformed into a whimsical, colorful piece of art? From the salvaged piece of wood that serves as the base to the mixed media bird that is the centerpiece, this composition feels like a slice of Spring. The wood has been primed and painted soft blues and white. Shades of green have been used to give the grass definition and wire has been added to serve as grass blades. The bird is made from recycled cardboard and covered in paper collage created from old magazines. The posies are made from reclaimed washers, wire and topped with repurposed beads. The combination of vibrant colors and found objects are a marriage of industry and art.
This piece is an added surprise to any room in the house. Can be hung outdoors in a covered area.
