"To be an artist, make your message clear." That inspirational directive is part of the word collage found on this encouraging mixed media piece. Using a variety of Found Objects such as nails, screws, metal scraps, wire and even to chords made to look like paint brushes, my message is simple. Fall in love, be authentic, explore, be original and reflect because Art is essential. A large heart created out of a recycled cardboard box and covered with a paper collage made from magazine scraps is at the center of this piece; just like my heart is at the center of every one of my pieces. A smaller heart made from metal and painted to look like an American Flag provides an unexpected dose of inspiration.
This is one of those pieces that if it doesn't find a forever home with someone, I will be perfectly happy to keep it for myself. It's positive message about Art and the layer of details enhancing the message are what make this creation so encouraging as well as interesting. Framed in twigs painted white to add a finishing touch.
